Garden Party

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us on the day, almost 100 again, and those who donated who could not make it. We raised over £850 pounds for the cause, much of which is already pledged to a local group for working with ladies with breast cancer.
Peter Butters won the luxury break in Devon, again! But he did buy an awful lot of tickets; a big thank you to the Highbullen Hotel for their generosity in supplying that 2 night break.

At least the sun shone on us again which helped make it the success it was. Peter

same price of just £5 for the third year running and are available from any of the trustees. The traditional
Devon cream teas will be served whilst Pimms will be also served for those wishing for something a little
stronger! We are anticipating a number of excellent prizes for the raffles along with a luxury hotel break
for two in North Devon, details to follow shortly. Lets hope for some nice summer weather again and we
look forward to seeing you at 12 Lichfield Lane, Mansfield.'

Distribution of funds - ongoing frustrations

We are still working with Kings Mill hospital trust to begin distribution of funds to those eligible, this is taking
far longer than we anticipated and dialogue is ongoing. There are issues around patient information and the application process and is due to be discussed by the Cancer management team during February.
Let's hope we can get things moving forward and helping those that we can?

Millionaire’s night 21st November 2008

May I also thank all of the trustee members both on the night and the weeks leading up to it?   Thank yo

    Millionaires Night Big Success

Everyone it seemed made a commendable effort in dressing for the occasion (lounge suites and the ladies in cocktail/evening dress) Thanks to over 130 guests attending on the night we raised over £1500 including a £200 donation from the Lions.
The Lions provided the gaming equipment (roulette, dice, horse racing and cards) along with Volunteers for the night, a big thank you to them!
The "bottle stall" proved to be popular, selling out in 20 minutes with the "whiskey" game earning a creditable £54.
A big thank you to everyone involved
